Sidelobe level minimization for uniform circular smart antenna array using cultural algorithm

Cultural algorithm (CA) is a new evolutionary program inspired by sociology and archaeology theories that assisting formulating cultural evaluation. Its use to solve optimization problems. This paper analyzed the beamforming of uniform circular antenna array (UCAA) via using CA algorithm. The sidelobe level (SLL) minimized adjusting appropriate weight for each element. In addition, optimal beam pattern achieved UCAA, which means main steering desired user, while nulls represent interference signals. excitation amplitude supposed be constant elements are assumed isotropic. number interspacing distance between them setting as parameters. simulation results show rationally reacts changing environments, it valuable SLL reduction. A −25 dB relative under scanning (0º) (15º), respectively.
