Short-Lived Interfaces in Energy Materials

چکیده
The kinetics of most chemical energy storage/conversion systems depend on the mass transport through matter, which is rate-limited by various kinetic barriers. distinction barriers static and dynamic interfaces helps in reducing their impact therefore enhancing overall kinetics. concept introduced along examples hydrogen storage, thermal storage absorptive media, electrochemical water splitting CO 2 reduction. In addition to description analysis methods probe interfaces, general strategy as well concrete overcome them are discussed.

Computational Insights into Materials and Interfaces for Capacitive Energy Storage
Supercapacitors such as electric double-layer capacitors (EDLCs) and pseudocapacitors are becoming increasingly important in the field of electrical energy storage. Theoretical study of energy storage in EDLCs focuses on solving for the electric double-layer structure in different electrode geometries and electrolyte components, which can be achieved by molecular simulations such as classical m...
متن کاملDNStamp: Short-lived Trusted Timestamping
*The extended version of this work is to appear in Elsevier Computer Networks 64 (2014) pp. 208-224. ABSTRACT Trusted timestamping consists in proving that certain data existed at a particular point in time. Existing timestamping methods require either a centralized and dedicated trusted service or the collaboration of other participants using the timestamping service. We propose a novel truste...

متن کاملLong-lived digital integrity using short-lived hash functions
New collision-finding attacks on widely used cryptographic hash functions raise questions about systems that depend on certain properties of these functions for their security. Even after new and presumably better hash functions are deployed, users may have digital signatures and digital time-stamp certificates that were computed with recently deprecated hash functions. Is there any way to use ...
