چکیده

The study examined the effects of two methods processing de-hulled sunflower seed meal (SFM) from same batch seeds. Sunflower was fed to broilers as (MSFM) or after it had been pelleted (PSFM) at 75 °C and 360 kPa pressure pass through a 3 mm mesh. Three diets were prepared, namely balancer feed (BF) containing 200 g/kg MSFM PSFM. They 30 pens (two birds each) with male Ross 308 broilers, 8 21 days old, following randomization. Data analysed by ANOVA. Two pre-planned orthogonal contrast tests performed compare overall differences between SFM BF very different nutrient composition complete feeds so, expected, there in growth performance retention. diet PSFM greater apparent metabolizable energy corrected for N retention (AMEn) dry matter (DMR) than that MSFM. use substitution method showed AMEn 18% (8.79 vs 7.47 MJ/kg DM). Under conditions current study, incorporating mash broiler increased dietary compared Further studies are needed identify whether benefits pre-pelleting remain this product has incorporated feeds.

Studies on the biotin requirement of broilers fed sunflower seed meal based diets.

A total of 560 day-old commercial broiler chicks were used in two experiments conducted to investigate the biotin requirement of broilers fed sunflower seed meal (SSM) based diets. Two basal biotin-deficient diets based on dehulled (Experiment 1) and non-dehulled (Experiment 2) SSM were each supplemented with graded levels of biotin so that the rations had 40, 80, 120, 160, 200, 240 and 280 mcg...

Metabolizable Energy and Chemical Composition of Poultry by-Product Meal

This study was conducted to determine the chemical composition and metabolizable energy of poultry by-product meal (PBPM) from two slaughterhouses in Iran. Samples were analyzed for dry matter, crude protein, ash, ether extract and gross energy. The amounts of calcium, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, Magnesium, Iron, Manganese, copper and Zinc were determined. The apparent metabolizable energy (...

Metabolizable energy value of meat and bone meal for pigs.

Metabolizable energy and N-corrected ME (MEn) values of 12 samples of meat and bone meal (MBM) were determined using 288 barrows with an average BW of 35 +/- 3.1 kg. For each of 12 MBM samples, diets were formulated by substituting 0, 50, or 100 g/kg MBM (as-fed basis) in a basal 170 g of CP/kg corn-soybean meal diet; corn and soybean meal were adjusted at the same ratio to account for the subs...

Sunflower Meal and Enzyme Supplementation in Diets of Broilers from 21 to 42 Days of Age

The objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of male broiler chickens in the period from 21 to 42 days of age fed diets with increasing levels of sunflower meal (SM) supplemented with an enzyme complex (EC). A total of 1920 animals of the Cobb strain were distributed in a randomized block design in a 4 × 3 factorial arrangement (four SM levels and three enzymes utilization types)...
