Shock Fronts in Non-Polar Electro-Conducting Media

چکیده
We analyze the propagation of electromagnetic fronts in unbounded electric conductors. Our model is based on Maxwell electromagnetism, which includes displacement current and Ohm’s law its simplest forms. The shock-like front a propagating surface, across magnetic fields, as well their higher temporal spatial derivatives, experience finite jumps. are essentially different compared with weak fronts; particular, bulk equations insufficient for analysis fronts, they should be amended we physical jump conditions. choose these additional conditions by using similar to those suggested Heaviside. derive basic shock intensity relationships implied this model.

Simulation of Shock Fronts
We describe a Continuous Hugoniot Method for the efficient simulation of shock wave fronts. This approach achieves a significantly improved efficiency in the generation of individual steady-state shock front states, and allows for the study of shocks as a function of a continuous shock strength parameter, vp. This is, to our knowledge, the first attempt to map the Hugoniot continuously. We appl...
متن کاملShock dynamics in non-uniform media
The theory of shock dynamics in two dimensions is reformulated to treat shock propagation in a non-uniform medium. The analysis yields a system of hyperbolic equations with source terms representing the generation of disturbances on the shock wave as it propagates into the fluid non-uniformities. The theory is applied to problems involving the refraction of a plane shock wave at a free plane ga...
متن کاملInitial-value-problem solution for isolated rippled shock fronts in arbitrary fluid media.
Following the work of Roberts [Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory Report No. LA-299, 1945 (unpublished)], we investigate the effect of small two-dimensional perturbations on an isolated, planar shock front moving steadily through an inviscid fluid medium with an arbitrary equation of state (EOS). In the context of an initial-value problem, we derive explicit analytical expressions for the lineari...
متن کاملClustering in polar media.
Clustering prevails in water-soluble polymers and biological macromolecules. It has also been observed in polar solvent mixtures. The possible causes of clustering are discussed. A systematic investigation of clustering in poly(ethylene oxide)/d-water solutions has been undertaken using the small-angle neutron scattering method. The poly(ethylene oxide) monomer is formed of an oxygen atom and a...
متن کاملMolecular mechanism of carbon nanotube to activate Subtilisin Carlsberg in polar and non-polar organic media
In the work, we mainly used molecular dynamics (MD) simulation and protein structure network (PSN) to study subtilisin Carlsberg (SC) immobilized onto carbon nanotube (CNT) in water, acetonitrile and heptane solvents, in order to explore activation mechanism of enzymes in non-aqueous media. The result indicates that the affinity of SC with CNT follows the decreasing order of water > acetonitril...
