چکیده
Abstract The seakeeping performances in oblique wave conditions, such as ship motions and unsteady pressures on a hull, are getting more important, recently. These physical quantities used for estimating loads induced by waves evaluating the safety of ship. Thanks to evaluation various incident angles, rational design with sufficient less construction cost can be realized. Therefore, estimation numerical schemes those conditions is demanded design. However, were usually validated through comparison experimental data only heading because few towing tanks carry out experiment advancing waves. computed results should well before industrial usage schemes. Although Computational Fluid Dynamics useful know performance thanks development computer these years, it takes much longer time than based potential theory. For this reason, three solvers theory, Salvesen-Tuck-Faltinsen method, Green function Rankine panel comparing pressure hull obtained from tank tests conditions.

Effects of Ship Motion on Ship Maneuvering in Waves
Ship maneuvering performance is typically predicted in calm water conditions. This provides very valuable information at the initial ship design stage. However, since the ship always sails in waves, the maneuvering performance of the ship in seaway may be significantly different from calm water condition. Therefore, if the effect of waves and the corresponding motion responses can be included i...
متن کاملCONSIDERATION OF DESIGN FOR PRODUCTION PRINCIPLES IN SHIP HULL DESIGN
In designing for ship production, the production method should be considered and it’s possible to reduce the manufacturing cost in designing procedure. A review of background of ship design that had minimized production costs, shows the principles and problems of these methods. Modern designing methods for manufacturing, considers hydrodynamic efficiency and less manufacturing cost. Quant...
متن کاملNumerical Calculations of Ship Induced Waves
Nowadays, various numerical methods are developed to extend computational fluid dynamics in engineering applications. One of the most useful methods in free surface modeling is Boundary Element Method (BEM). BEM is used to model inviscid fluid flow such as flow around ships. BEM solutions employ surface mesh at all of the boundaries. In order to model the linear free surface, BEM can be modifie...
متن کاملExtreme Waves and Ship Design
Recent research has demonstrated that extreme waves, waves with crest to trough heights of 20 to 30 meters, occur more frequently than previously thought. Also, over the past several decades, a surprising number of large commercial vessels have been lost in incidents involving extreme waves. Many of the victims were bulk carriers. Current design criteria generally consider significant wave heig...
متن کاملAutomatic surface modelling of a ship hull
When defining a ship hull surface, the main objective is to obtain a faired surface or surfaces that contain some specific points of the hull, that have been selected in the design process and give the ship its hydrodynamic, stability and other properties. So, the hull surface should be a compromise between fairness and precision, and this is not and easy task. In this paper, authors present a ...
