This research is a case study on the thoughts of Sheikh Yusuf al-Makasari. aims to analyze al-Makasari about application Islamic law and its through judicial institutions Dutch East Indies colonial period. uses qualitative methods which include library studies, namely reviewing literature related studies relevant Yusuf. The results this are that Yusuf's accommodationist attitude vis-a-vis Netherlands solely in order prevent political disturbances harm society maintain continuity as desired understanding Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah; In his efforts implement effectively archipelago, Betawi cleric has also succeeded compiling family materials (marriage, divorce, inheritance).
