In this article, I explore the viability of a shamanist ontology. Through lens German philosopher Ludwig Klages (1872-1956), will address possibility outlining philosophical merits shamanism. was one last European philosophers to represent tradition which took seriously altered states consciousness. opposed destructive ‘Spirit’ (= Reason, Will) nourishing ‘Soul’ (=Life). His thinking can be called ‘psycho-philosophy’, insofar as it reconciles psychology and cosmology. Klages’ intellectual legacy – also Romanticism has been entirely neglected (not refuted) in mainstream 20th 21st scientific thinking. try show that philosophy not only accounts for deeper consciousness but cohering ‘original images’. Taking up account might allow bridging gaps between shamanistic briefly consciousness’s alleged liability ‘pathology’. Unfortunately, work hardly translated.
