چکیده
Abstract Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems are of great value for patients with disorders impaired homeostasis, including glycogen storage diseases. We report on an 8‐year‐old girl disease type 9b who developed severe allergic contact dermatitis to two different continuous systems, FreeStyle ® Libre and Dexcom G6. Our case highlights the impact sensitization pediatric patients, urgent need open labeling components by pharmaceutical device manufacturers, avoidance skin sensitizers in medical devices.

UNLABELLED Glycogen storage disease (GSD) type I is characterized by impaired production of glucose from glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis resulting in severe hypoglycaemia and increased production of lactic acid, triglyceride and uric acid. The most common type, glycogenosis type Ia, demands a balanced, sufficient carbohydrate intake to preserve normal 24-h glycaemia. Insufficient intake of c...
متن کامل[Allergic contact dermatitis and systemic contact dermatitis in a patient with polysensitization to topical corticosteroids].
Although allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) due to corticosteroids is a well-known and relatively common phenomenon, the systemic administration of corticosteroids only rarely produces skin reactions (systemic contact dermatitis [SCD]). We present the case of a patient with ACD to various corticosteroids, and who subsequently developed SCD to multiple systemic corticosteroids. A 47-year-old man ...

Acrylic nails, including sculptured nails and the new ultraviolet-curable gel polish lacquers, have been associated with allergic contact dermatitis (ACD). We report 2 cases of ACD to acrylic nails with severe onychodystrophy and psoriasiform changes including onycholysis and subungual hyperkeratosis. In both cases, the patients did not realize the association between the use of acrylate-based ...
