چکیده
Background: Psoriasis is an immune mediated inflammatory disease that involves the innate and acquired arm of immunologic system. The regulatory role for vitamin D in system suggested by presence receptors on activated lymphocytes suppressive or inhibiting effect 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin different autoimmune diseases. Hence, current proposed study aims to 25-hydroxyvitamin status patients with psoriasis.
Objective: primary objective this was analyze chronic plaque psoriasis comparison healthy control subjects.
Materials Methods: A comparative cross-sectional study, including forty age- sex-matched subjects, conducted from April 2021 December 2022, at our dermatology department. After informed consent, all were subjected detailed clinical anthropometric examination. Serum concentration evaluated cases subjects. Data be analyzed as per standard statistical protocol.
Results: mean serum level psoriatic group 18.02 (±SD 9.82) ng/ml 24.47 6.77) ng/ml, respectively. (p=.001) negatively correlated Psoriatic area severity index (PASI) score (r=-.11). However, correlation not significant (p=.493).
 Conclusion: levels significantly lower than

Low Serum Levels of 25-Hydroxyvitamin D in Association with Type 2 Diabetes in Indian Patients
Objective: Vitamin D deficiency is a common disorder worldwide and is indicated by low serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels. Recent studies have suggested an association of 25-hydroxyvitamin D deficiency with diabetes mellitus. The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between 25-hydroxyvitamin D concentration and type 2 diabetes in South Indian patients. Materials and Methods...

BACKGROUND Previous studies have implicated the important and active role of vitamin D in the immune system. OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in children with burn injuries. MATERIALS AND METHODS In this cross-sectional study, 118 patients with various degrees of burn injuries were enrolled. A checklist consisting of demographic data, tota...
متن کاملSerum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels and risk of multiple sclerosis.
CONTEXT Epidemiological and experimental evidence suggests that high levels of vitamin D, a potent immunomodulator, may decrease the risk of multiple sclerosis. There are no prospective studies addressing this hypothesis. OBJECTIVE To examine whether levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D are associated with risk of multiple sclerosis. DESIGN, SETTING, AND PARTICIPANTS Prospective, nested case-contr...
متن کاملMammographic density and serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels
BACKGROUND Vitamin D, which influences cellular proliferation and breast tissue characteristics, has been inversely correlated with breast cancer risk. Dietary vitamin D intake has been associated with lower mammographic density (MD), a strong intermediate marker of breast cancer risk. FINDINGS We examined the relationship between MD and serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D], an integrated meas...
متن کاملOptimal serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels for multiple health outcomes.
Recent evidence suggests that higher vitamin D intakes beyond current recommendations may be associated with better health outcomes. In this chapter, evidence is summarized from different studies that evaluate threshold levels for serum 25(OH)D levels in relation to bone mineral density (BMD), lower extremity function, dental health, risk of falls, admission to nursing home, fractures, cancer p...
