چکیده
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections are a global public health problem. Chronic hepatitis (CHB) infection is associated with an increased risk of cirrhosis, hepatic decompensation and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In virus-infected liver cells, HBsAg produced in excess secreted into the blood, where it serves as marker for active infectivity. Currently, recombinant used HBV vaccination, development antibody to typically protective immunity. The likelihood developing CHB related age at which acquired; being lowest adults >90% neonates whose mothers e antigen positive. During infection, Different markers detectable blood. Presence this serum carry importance diagnosing stage illness. Most common clinical significance is: HBsAg, HBeAg, anti-HBs, anti-HBe, Anti-HBcIgM, Anti HBc (total). This can be easily detected by different serological methods eg, ICT, ELISA, CMIA, MEIA. We have studied records parameters, advised earlier physicians BIHS General Hospital. Last year, about 1,364 patients were tested markers: surface its (anti-HBs); e-antigen (anti-HBe); core (anti-HBc)

Significance of Hepatitis B Core Antibody as the Only Marker of Hepatitis B Virus Infection in High Risk Patients
Background and Objective: Presence of hepatitis B core antibody (anti-HBc) in the absence of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs) is defined, as isolated anti-HBc. little is known about the clinical significance of the isolated anti-HBc in hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections. The aim of this study was to assess the significance of anti-HBc as the onl...
متن کاملSerological and molecular diagnosis of hepatitis B virus
Serologic assays for HBV are the mainstay diagnostic tools for HBV infection. However, the advent of molecular biology-based techniques has added a new dimension to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with chronic HBV infection. Over the past decade, improvements in molecular technology, permitting detection of as few as 10 copies/mL of HBV DNA in serum have led to redefinitions of chronic ...
متن کاملClinical and serological variation between patients infected with different Hepatitis B virus genotypes.
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) has eight genotypes which have distinct geographical distributions. Studies comparing differences in the clinical outcomes of infections caused by strains with genotype-related variations in the HBV genome have largely compared genotypes B and C and genotypes A and D but not all four genotypes. The present study included 196 HBV-infected patients attending an infectious ...
متن کاملPrevalence of Hepatitis B virus, Hepatitis C virus and human immunodeficiency virus infections among patients candidate for orthopedic trauma surgeries
Background: Infectious diseases are major public health problems, among which blood-borne ones are the most important infections. Patients who undergo orthopedic surgery are at higher risk of transmitting infectious diseases from and to others, due to repeated blood examinations and injection, drains secretion and receiving blood products. Accordingly, in this study we determined prevalence of ...
متن کاملSerological relationship of woodchuck hepatitis virus to human hepatitis B virus.
Two antigenic systems of the woodchuck hepatitis virus have been identified. The relationship between viral antigens of the woodchuck hepatitis virus and the human hepatitis B virus was determined by using immunoprecipitation, hemagglutination, and immune electron microscopy techniques. Antigens found on the cores of the two viruses were cross-reactive. Lack of cross-reactivity between the surf...
