چکیده
Digital surface models, land use and rainfall data were used to simulate water areas using Hydrologic Engineering Centres River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) software. Multi-temporal synthetic aperture radar (SAR) was for the detection of flood prone area calibrate HEC-RAS, due lack validation in New Cairo City, Egypt. The thresholding method applied two Sentinel-1 images, one pre- post-flash event from April 24 27, 2018. threshold detect SAR images. Feature statistical agreement F1 F2 values ranged 73.4 77.7% between extracted based on backscattering 19.97 16.53 decibels (dB) reference obtained an optical image Sentinel-2 satellite. similarity simulated HEC-RAS two-dimensional (2D) 74.2 89.7% feature F2. It provides a clear suggestion that, absence field observations, can be model. Two hazard maps created velocity depth 2D simulation. indicated that 11% roads 50% buildings City are exposed high areas. Furthermore, 28% bare is situated very vulnerability area. We recommend map supporting emergency response, designing effective plans.

Analysis of urban sprawl at mega city Cairo, Egypt using multisensoral remote sensing data, landscape metrics and gradient analysis
This paper is intended to highlight the capabilities of synergistic usage of remote sensing, landscape metrics and gradient analysis. We aim to improve the understanding of spatial characteristics and effects of urbanization on city level. Multisensoral and multitemporal remotely sensed data sets from the Landsat and TerraSAR-X sensor enable monitoring a long time period with area-wide informat...
متن کاملDrought Analysis of Alvand Boundary River Using Remote Sensing Data
Extended abstract 1- Introduction The study of the behavior of rivers in the arid and dry areas is one of the most important tasks in the country. Because the area has increased the effects of drought due to the sensitivity of the area and rainfall shortage, it causes changes in the flow and sediment regime, water resources, agriculture, and so on. Since plants react more precisely to t...
متن کاملLand cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing
Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...
متن کاملSimulation of Flood Inundation of Guiyang City Using Remote Sensing, Gis and Hydrologic Model
This paper illustrates an example of developing a grid-based distributed hydrologic model for storm-inundation simulation using GIS and remote sensing for flood emergency planning, and the feasibility of the model was explored in the mountainous urban area of Guiyang city of the Guizhou Province, China. The research was based on four major steps. The first step was to prepare data for the model...
متن کاملLand Cover Mapping Analysis and Urban Growth Modelling Using Remote Sensing Techniques in Greater Cairo Region - Egypt
This study modeled the urban growth in the Greater Cairo Region (GCR), one of the fastest growing mega cities in the world, using remote sensing data and ancillary data. Three land use land cover (LULC) maps (1984, 2003 and 2014) were produced from satellite images by using Support Vector Machines (SVM). Then, land cover changes were detected by applying a high level mapping technique that comb...
