Sensor-Free Biosensing of Mitral and Aortic Valvular Function During Continuous Flow Left Ventricular Assist Device Support

چکیده

Continuous flow left ventricular assist devices (CF-LVADs) are miniaturized supporting the failing ventricle and alter blood in cardiovascular system which may cause severe health complications. Regurgitation stenosis mitral aortic valves further aggravate complications limit efficiency of CF-LVAD support. Within this context, real-time monitoring support will allow early detection valve problems timely intervention before valvular worsened. Addressing these issues, study detects regurgitation, stenosis, regurgitation during by electrical current. Patient-specific electrocardiograph RR interval time series with normal sinus rhythm were incorporated into a model including whilst simulating mild moderate regurgitation. Spearman rank test was used to analyze correlation between current signal waveforms over systole atrial contraction. Correlation coefficients signals heart function 0.07 −0.68. Normal 0.82 0.68. 0.86 0.61, respectively. These results suggest that can be for both diagnosis prognosis disorders, thereby representing potential innovation field bioelectronics biosensors.

Effects of continuous flow left ventricular assist device support on microvascular endothelial function.

The effects of continuous flow left ventricular assist device (CF-LVAD) support on microvascular endothelial function in New York Heart Association (NYHA) class IV heart failure (HF) patients are currently unknown. Microvascular endothelial function was assessed by beat-to-beat plethysmographic measurement of finger arterial pulse wave signal changes for 5 min following reactive hyperemia. A gr...

Blood pressure and adverse events during continuous flow left ventricular assist device support.

BACKGROUND Adverse events (AEs), such as intracranial hemorrhage, thromboembolic event, and progressive aortic insufficiency, create substantial morbidity and mortality during continuous flow left ventricular assist device support yet their relation to blood pressure control is underexplored. METHODS AND RESULTS A multicenter retrospective review of patients supported for at least 30 days and...
