The interpretation of semiclassical gravity as an ensemble-average CFTs has provided much progress in understanding the factorization problem and information paradox. In this article, we consider averaging over boundary conditions two-dimensional conformal field theories (BCFTs). We show that plays important role not only producing wormhole contributions but also resolving following problem. general setups AdS/BCFT, one can find unphysical solutions where branes have (self-)intersections. nicely resolves intersection This provides another piece evidence reproducing Einstein gravity. propose a BCFT dual island model.
