چکیده
Abstract This paper introduces a new concept called self-updated finite element (SUFE). The (FE) is activated through an iterative procedure to improve the solution accuracy without mesh refinement. A mode-based formulation devised for four-node and assumed modal strain employed bending modes. search optimal directions implemented deep learning given deformation minimize shear locking. proposed element, which developed. passes patch zero-energy mode tests. As number of iterations increases, solutions become more accurate, resulting in significantly accurate with few iterations. SUFE very effective, especially when meshes are coarse severely distorted. Its excellent performance demonstrated various numerical examples.

Initial blank design of deep drawn orthotropic materials using inverse finite element method
In this work, an inverse finite element formulation was modified for considering material anisotropy in obtaining blank shape and forming severity of deep drawn orthotropic parts. In this procedure, geometry of final part and thickness of initial blank sheet were known. After applying ideal forming formulations between material points of initial blank and final shape, an equation system was obt...
متن کاملA four-node hybrid assumed-strain finite element for laminated composite plates
Fibre-reinforced plates and shells are finding an increasing interest in engineering applications. Consequently, efficient and robust computational tools are required for the analysis of such structural models. As a matter of fact, a large amount of laminate finite elements have been developed and incorporated in most commercial codes for structural analysis. In this paper a new laminate hybrid...
متن کاملApplications of Gauss-Radau and Gauss-Lobatto Numerical Integrations Over a Four Node Quadrilateral Finite Element
In this paper Gauss-Radau and Gauss-Lobatto quadrature rules are presented to evaluate the rational integrals of the element matrix for a general quadrilateral. These integrals arise in finite element formulation for second order Partial Differential Equation via Galerkin weighted residual method in closed form. Convergence to the analytical solutions and efficiency are depicted by numerical ex...
متن کاملPost-Tensioned Steel Connections Self-Centering Behavior Using the Finite Element Method
Due to lack of the proper and well behavior of steel moment-resisting connections subjected to the great and major earthquakes, excessive researches have been conducted to mitigate the damages on the primary elements and connections. Therefore, elimination of residual drift and increasing the plastic rotation capacity for the connectors in the panel zone are required. The main purpose of this s...
متن کاملFinite-Element Mesh Generation Using Self-Organizing Neural Networks
Neural networks are applied to the problem of mesh placement for the finite-element method. When the finiteelement method is used to numerically solve a partial differential equation with boundary conditions over a domain, the domain must be divided into “elements.” The precise placement of the nodes of the elements has a major affect on the accuracy of the numeric method. In this paper the sel...
