Global Exponential Stabilization for Brushless DC Motors
In this paper, global exponential stabilization for chaotic brushless DC motor(BLDCM) is described. Based on Lyapunov theorem and stability theory, we design two controller to realize the global stabilization of BLDCM with exponential convergence rate. Numerical simulations suggest that the motor with the two controllers can converge efficiently.
متن کاملCogging Torque Control in Brushless Dc Motors
During the past five years, cogging torque in HDD spindle motors has decreased drastically as designers and manufacturers have developed a better understanding of the cogging phenomenon. This paper examines various methodologies of cogging torque reduction. Timing techniques such as dead zones and tooth notching, smoothing techniques such as sinusoidal magnetization, and geometric techniques su...
متن کاملA Hybrid Neuro-Fuzzy Controller for Brushless DC Motors
In this paper, a hybrid neuro-fuzzy controller (NFC) is presented for the speed control of brushless DC motors to improve the control performance of the drive under transient and steady state conditions. In the hybrid control system, proportional-derivative (PD) type neuro-fuzzy controller (NFC) is the main tracking controller, and an integral compensator is proposed to compensate the steady st...
متن کاملA Position-and-Velocity Sensorless Control for Brushless DC Motors With an Adaptive Sliding Observer
It has been known that a state equation of a blushless DC motor is a nonlinear one. Recently, new linear state equation and a position and velocity sensorless control system with the full-order observer based on the equation has been proposed. But the pole assignment of the observer has not been presented clearly. In this paper, we propose an adaptive sliding observer for this linear state equa...
متن کاملA position-and-velocity sensorless control for brushless DC motors using an adaptive sliding mode observer
This paper presents a new position-and-velocity sensorless control of brushless dc motors using an adaptive sliding mode observer. The sliding mode observer is robust to measurement noises. Stability of the adaptive scheme is assured and estimation errors due to parameter deviations are analyzed.
