Self-quadplexing slot antenna for S and C-band applications

This paper demonstrates a novel kind of cavity-backed self-quadplexing slot antenna for the S and C-band applications. The proposed consists 4 distinct “U”-shaped slots different lengths produces quad frequency band wireless communication systems. These are excited through separate orthogonal placed microstrip feed lines 50 Ω; generates four operating bands at 3.2 GHz, 4.1 5.8 7.2 GHz. Due to perturbation U-shaped over substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity with defined positions, high intrinsic port isolation value is better than 30.5 dB. Thus, unique structure combines independent minimum mutual coupling negligible interference among input ports, which shows feature antenna. also has property tunability uni-directional radiation pattern gain dBi, 5.4 4.01 3.47 dBi corresponding operated frequency. cross-polarization 17.3 dB front-to-back ratio higher 21.5 all bands. There good agreement between simulated |S|-parameters results equivalent circuit model results.
