چکیده
Numerous recent studies have identified microalgae biofuel as one of the major renewable energy sources for sustainable development due to their high biomass productivity, lipid content, and availability locally adapted strains in various geographical locations. There been minimal on fatty acid composition production local species Sabah, Malaysia. Thus, screening capable producing biodiesel can aid selection suitable species. This study aimed isolate identify promising microalga feedstock mass cultivation. Eight species, Acutodesmus obliquus , Chaetoceros muelleri Isochrysis galbana Ankistrodesmus falcatus Chlamydomonas monadina Chlorella emersonii Nannochloropsis oculata Tetraselmis chuii, were successfully isolated from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The characterized based lipid/biomass content profiles. These isolates had productivity 0.11–0.78 g/L/day, 11.69–39.00% dry weight, 21.11–252.64 mg/L/day. According GC-MS analyses, four produced more than 80% C 14 –C 18 acids, which A. (95%), C. (93%), (91%), (81%). Despite its low was chosen best candidate because moderately (42.90 mg/L/day), highest (39% weight), level MUFAs FAs (81.47%), with oleic proportion (28.38%), all are desirable characteristics high-quality biodiesel.

Microalgal Species Selection for Biodiesel Production Based on Fuel Properties Derived from Fatty Acid Profiles
Physical and chemical properties of biodiesel are influenced by structural features of the fatty acids, such as chain length, degree of unsaturation and branching of the carbon chain. This study investigated if microalgal fatty acid profiles are suitable for biodiesel characterization and species selection through Preference Ranking Organisation Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) and ...
متن کاملCharacterization of Aspergillus species based on fatty acid profiles.
Cellular fatty acid (FA) composition was utilized as a taxonomic tool to discriminate between different Aspergillus species. Several of the tested species had the same FA composition and different relative FA concentrations. The most important FAs were palmitic acid (C16:0), estearic acid (C18:0), oleic acid (C18:1) and linoleic acid (C18:2), which represented 95% of Aspergillus FAs. Multivaria...

The objective of the present study was to determine the effect of substitution of corn grain with dried citrus pulp (DCP) on milk composition, fatty acids profiles and blood metabolites in Holstein dairy cows. These parameters were measured in a replicated 4 × 4 latin square design experiment using eight Holstein cows. Each experimental period lasted 4 weeks. The four treatments were: control (...
