Although Brazil is one of the main agricultural countries in world, it historically an importer wheat. For this reason, strategies aimed at expansion wheat country, to areas that are not traditionally producing (warmer), paramount importance. In breeding, phenotypic values are usually used simultaneous selection, however, they do always correspond with genetic superiority. Therefore, objective work was evaluate efficiency five selection indexes applied genotypic of wheat, coincidence between and select most promising lines. this, we evaluated a panel 41 genotypes tropical for traits: days flowering, disease note, plant height, hectoliter weight grain yield.
