Integrated mapping is essential in geological studies to assess risks of earthquake hazards. Cartographic techniques have become a commonplace approach visualizing data the continuous geologic and geophysical fields. However, traditional GIS manual process with time-consuming workflow that can lead mistakes misinterpretation data. This study applied two approaches address this problem: Generic Mapping Tools (GMT) used for automated cartographic employing scripts QGIS mapping. The area includes Ethiopia, notable its complex setting. aimed analyse relationships between geophysical, geological, topographic seismic setting country by presenting six new thematic maps:1 topography based on GEBCO/SRTM15+ high-resolution grid;2 units consistent lithology age from USGS database;3 provinces major Amhara Plateau Somali Province using data;4 geoid Earth Gravitational Model 2008 (EGM-2008) grid;5 free-air gravity anomaly model satellite-based remote sensing data;6 seismicity showing earthquakes volcanos 05/03/1990 27/11/2020.The comparison topography, seismicity, geophysics surface geology Afar Depression Great Rift Valley was partly extant literature Ethiopia which primarily focuses upon discussing tectonic processes took place East African System past. current contributes previous research increases Ethiopia. outcomes be implemented similar regional projects monitoring.
