چکیده
This study proposes a seismic input method for layered slope sites exposed to obliquely-incident waves which transforms the into equivalent nodal forces that act on truncated boundary of finite element model. The at left and right boundaries are obtained by combining free field response one-dimensional model with viscoelastic boundary. bottom incident wave proposed obliquely is implemented aid MATLAB software; it applied analysis in commercial ABAQUS software. calculation results compared reference solutions using extended verify correctness established method. then employed investigate influencing factors oblique incidence P waves. show angle incidence, location interface between soft hard rocks, impedance ratio have significant effects landslide.

Along-Slope Current Generation by Obliquely Incident Internal Waves
Numerical studies of internal wave reflection from sloping boundaries are presented. Previous work (Slinn and Riley, 1996, 1998a, 1998b, 1999) has restricted attention to internal waves that approach the bottom slope in a plane normal to the boundary (normal incidence). This work extends the scope of the three-dimensional time-dependent numerical experiments to examine internal waves that appro...
متن کاملPropagation of obliquely incident water waves over a trench
The diffraction of obliquely incident surface waves by an asymmetric trench is investigated using linearized potential theory. A numerical solution is constructed by matching particular solutions for each subregion of constant depth along vertical boundaries ; the resulting matrix equation is solved numerically. Several cases where the trench-parallel wavenumber component in the incident-wave r...
متن کاملSeismic Behavior of 2D Semi-Sine Shaped Hills against Vertically Propagating Incident Waves
This paper presents the preliminary results of an extensive parametric study on seismic response of two-dimensional semi-sine shaped hills to vertically propagating incident P- and SV-waves. Clear perspectives of the induced diffraction and amplification patterns are given by investigation of time-domain and frequency-domain responses. It is shown that site geometry, wave characteristics , and ...

We demonstrate – using linear scattering theory and an idealized, stratified, rotating ocean domain, with a flat bottom deep ocean and a straight continental slope and shelf – that a high-mode (mode 3) Poincare wave incident on the coastal margin can excite large amplitude leaky coastal trapped waves (CTWs) or leaky edge waves along the coastal margin dependent on the frequency and alongshore w...
متن کاملseismic analysis of rectangular alluvial valleys subjected to incident sv waves by using the spectral finite element method
in this paper, an advanced formulation of the spectral finite element method (sfem) is presented and applied in order to carry out site response analysis of 2d topographic structures subjected to vertically propagating incident in-plane waves in time-domain. the accuracy, efficiency and applicability of the formulation are demonstrated by solving some wave scattering examples. a numerical param...
