Seismic Performance and Reliability Evaluation of Ductile RC Frame Structures with Infills

Ductile RC frames are often considered to have superior seismic performance even with infills. However, the of this type structure needs be reassessed considering additional shear requirements produced by infills-column interaction and increased hazard due impact infills on vibration period structure. This paper presents a performance-based earthquake engineering framework aimed at assessment comprehensive ductile A series common configurations in analysis: bare frame (BF), upper-infilled (UIF), all-infilled (AIF), corresponding stirrup-reduction both infills-induced failure behavior column influence structural considered.
