Seismic fragility and post-earthquake reparability of concrete frame with low-bond high-strength reinforced concrete column

To further study the global seismic behaviour and post-earthquake reparability of RC building frames with proposed self-centring columns low-bond high-strength reinforcements (LBHSRs), incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) five-floor ten-floor frame archetypes under excitation by twenty ground motions (GMs) was performed. First, pushover results indicated that use LBHSR could substantially improve yield ultimate lateral drift both archetypes, although archetype had a smaller longitudinal reinforcement ratio (LR) similar resistance. The response LBHSRs exhibited residual story effectiveness to reduce not apparent for subjected low-intensity earthquake. fragility showed more effective preventing collapse than attaining immediate occupancy (IO), life safety (LS), prevention (CP) limit states. Furthermore, higher LR, lower likelihood collapse. curves drifts indicate can significantly mitigate deformation in DS1, DS2, DS3 damage Moreover, increases increase LR earthquake intensity. Comparisons between predicted IDA present calculation models are suitable predicting deformation. model needs be studied further.
