Seismic Evidence for Crustal Modification Across the Tanlu Fault Zone in Eastern China

The continental collision and subduction between the North China Craton Yangtze Plate resulted in complex multistage tectonic episodes of Tanlu fault zone. To adequately understand geodynamic processes collision, we construct a high-resolution shear-wave velocity model crust uppermost mantle using full-wave ambient noise tomographic method based on new broadband dense seismic array across Our reveals uniquely alternating high-velocity low-velocity anomalies from lower to zone, which may result vertical slab tear subducted subsequent upwelling hot asthenospheric materials. A prominent mid-crustal detachment zone is observed along provides direct evidence for that occurred strongly left-lateral shearing deformation influence uneven distribution strong earthquakes.
