Seeing behind the curtain: Reverse Mentoring within the Higher Education landscape

چکیده

The following article presents the findings of a Reverse Mentoring evaluation project conducted at modern university in northwest England, which has high proportion students from non-traditional educational backgrounds. Using reverse mentoring framework, traditional mentor–mentee relationship was flipped with serving as senior partners and their tutors junior partners. purpose this study to investigate how staff–student relations could be strengthened by gaining better understanding one another’s perspectives. concept institutional habitus provided theoretical framework within examine disparities cultural understanding. mixed approach data collection, composite narratives were constructed. They revealed subtle mismatches between positions mentor mentee. speculates that appreciation students’ habitus, more inclusive teaching practises can developed ensure inclusion all students.
