Seed Morphometry and Different Pre-sowing Treatments on Seed Germination of Spondias pinnata Linn. under Nursery Condition

The present investigation was carried out during 2018–19 to evaluate the variation in seed dimension and most promising pre-treatments for accelerating germination of Spondias pinnata Linn. various pre-sowing treatments were Control (no treatment); soaking cold water 24 hours; 48 h; 72 100 ppm thiourea 200 400 800ppm 1000 KNO3 12 800 h h. experiment laid randomised block design with 13 control three replications seeds. highest (54.33%) percentage observed from cold-water hrs followed by (50.00%) potassium nitrate (48.67%). Parameters like value, mean time, root length, shoot length seedling vigour index significantly different among all pre-treatments.
