Seed coating as a delivery system for the endophyte Trichoderma koningiopsis Th003 in rice (Oryza sativa)

چکیده

Seed coating is a technique to cover seeds with external agents upgrade their performance, handling, and plant establishment. Plant beneficial microbes (PBMs), such as growth-promoting bacteria, mycorrhizal fungi, other fungi (e.g., Trichoderma spp.), decrease agrochemical inputs, enhance tolerance biotic-abiotic stresses, increase essential nutrition. The demand for pre-treated delivery systems biological advancing. Here, seed formulation containing koningiopsis presented. physicochemical characterization of the prototypes included drying protector screening, effect inoculum concentration on survival, assessment microbial release profiles in soil extract, tissue colonization capability under semi-controlled conditions. Gelatine pectin, two tested protectors, maintained fungus germination after 60 days at 18 °C significantly higher values up 38% compared control. initial 106 colony-forming units (CFU) per undergoes positive survival over time. Regarding colonization, establishes endophytically rice. In conclusion, promising alternative sp., maintaining cell further promoting establishment rice systems. Key points • Enhancing T. formulates approach Colonization capacity formulated

The Globulins of Rice, Oryza Sativa

Compared with the proteins of other cereals, those of rice haye been but little studied, notwithstanding the fact that rice constitutes one cf the most important sources of food for a large part of the world’s population. One reason for this is doubtless due to the unusual distribution of the classes of protein found in this seed. Unlike the proteins of other cereals, nearly all of the proteins...

Emergence of Red Rice (Oryza sativa) Ecotypes Under Dry-Seeded Rice (Oryza sativa) Culture1

The effect of seeding depth on emergence of red rice (Oryza sativa) ecotypes from Arkansas (AR), Louisiana (LA), and Mississippi (MS) was determined under dry-seeded rice production in clay and silt loam soils in Arkansas. By 21 d after planting (DAP), all red rice ecotypes had emerged from planting depths of 1.3, 2.5, 5.0, and 7.5 cm in both clay and silt loam soils. In silt loam soil, seedlin...

Oxygen dynamics in submerged rice (Oryza sativa).

Complete submergence of plants prevents direct O(2) and CO(2) exchange with air. Underwater photosynthesis can result in marked diurnal changes in O(2) supply to submerged plants. Dynamics in pO(2) had not been measured directly for submerged rice (Oryza sativa), but in an earlier study, radial O(2) loss from roots showed an initial peak following shoot illumination. O(2) dynamics in shoots and...

Correlation Studies in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Seventy genotypes of rice (Oryza sativa L.) were evaluated during Kharif 2012 to study the nature and extent of correlation among yield and yield attributing characters, days to 50 per cent flowering, days to maturity, number of effective tillers per plant, plant height, panicle length, number of grains per panicle, 1000-grain weight, grain yield per plant, kernel length, kernel breadth and L/B...

Multiple loci and epistases control genetic variation for seed dormancy in weedy rice (Oryza sativa).

Weedy rice has much stronger seed dormancy than cultivated rice. A wild-like weedy strain SS18-2 was selected to investigate the genetic architecture underlying seed dormancy, a critical adaptive trait in plants. A framework genetic map covering the rice genome was constructed on the basis of 156 BC(1) [EM93-1 (nondormant breeding line)//EM93-1/SS18-2] individuals. The mapping population was re...
