Security Matters and Academic Staff Service Delivery in Southwest, Nigerian Universities

The study examined the relationship between security matters and academic staff service delivery in Southwest Nigeria universities. It determined levels of level adopted descriptive survey research correlational designs. population comprised all 8724 18 sample for this was 880 respondents; comprising 800 80 heads departments from 8 universities four states Nigeria. Multistage sampling procedure which involved simple random stratified proportional ransom used to select study. Two sets instruments tagged. Security questionnaire (SMQ) [ASSDQ] were two validated by face, content construct validity experts department Educational Management Test, Measurement Evaluation reliability ensured using Test-re Test method with SMQ ASSDQ yielding coefficients 0.89 0.86 respectively. data analyzed inferential statistics. statistics frequency counts percentage mean standard deviation answer general questions while involving Pearson product moment correlation multiple regression analysis test hypotheses, hypotheses tested at 0.05 significance. University moderate. showed that there significant Southwest; revealed terrorism cultism significantly affected delivery. recommended government their agencies, university management should maintain school funding unit modern technological gadgets. So as strengthen situations Universities. There be policy regulations against must also adequately enforced a safe secured environment.
