چکیده

High rainfall with increase in humidity (68% to 75%) along a decrease temperature ( 3 5°C less than usual ) during June, July, and August months favor the emergence of white grub beetles, its egg laying which turn resulted severe sugarcane clump damage by grubs September months. Seasonal incidence growing areas Andhra Pradesh state showed that clumps caused infestation was significantly high march ratoon compared February crop; January plant crop low seedling crop. Grub recorded 4 age 6 7 Field efficacy entomopathogenic nematode fungus management grub, Holotrichia consanguinea investigated promoted biocontrol endemic 2017-18 2019-20. Entomopathogenic (Heterorhabditis indica NBAII-H38), fungi (Metarhizium anisopliae (NBAIR Ma4 )along chemical Chlorantraniliprole were evaluated through soil application. The results indicated Heterorhabditis NBAII-H38 (12 kg a.i./ha) application two times at monthly interval higher reduction damage. Biocontrol Potential of Entomopathogenic Nematodes Heterorhabditis and Steinernema Against Second Instar Grub of White grub, Leucopholis lepidophora (Blanchard)

The effectiveness of two entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN) viz., Heterorhabditis indica strain NBAII-104 and Steinernema carpocapsae strain NBAII-04 against second instar grubs of L. lepidophora (Blanchard) under pot culture experiment. At a concentration of 450 IJs ml, H. indica recorded highest mortality (87.60%) at 15 DAT. While, S.carpocapsae recorded 54.05 per cent grub mortality at 450 IJs...

Entomopathogenic nematode production and application technology.

Production and application technology is critical for the success of entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs) in biological control. Production approaches include in vivo, and in vitro methods (solid or liquid fermentation). For laboratory use and small scale field experiments, in vivo production of EPNs appears to be the appropriate method. In vivo production is also appropriate for niche markets and...

Entomopathogenic nematode infectivity enhancement using physical and chemical stressors

Entomopathogenic nematode in vivo production depends on a high level of successful infection during the inoculation process. Some host–nematode combinations do not provide suYcient or consistent infection levels and are, therefore, not suitable for in vivo production. Our objective was to determine whether infection levels could be improved through host or nematode exposure to physical and chem...

This paper describes a novel multi-rate multicast congestion control scheme based on the well-known proportional plus integrative control technique, where the control parameters can be designed to ensure the stability of the control loop in terms of source rate. The congestion controller is located at the next upstream nodes of multicast receivers and has explicit rate (ER) algorithm to regulat...
