چکیده

The article presents the research results on identification of seasonal variability in values physicochemical parameters and metal content water Northern Dvina River. Sampling was carried out daily from January 23, 2020 to 2021 at low tide. In general, researchers have revealed that studied largely depend volume river runoff, underlying rocks basin, also anthropogenic influence. Thus, pH, mineralization a number metals (Mg, Sr Ba) are minimal during flood period, which is explained by large amount melt water. Increased concentrations period observed for Al, Mn, Cr, Zn, V, Pb, associated with dissolution runoff winter precipitation form melted snow. determined elevated average natural elements Fe, as well Ni, Zn Cr relative world concentration values. calculation quality indices (HMEI, HMPL HMTL) public health risk (HI CR) has River different levels pollution, mild severe. However, scientists proved permanent consumption drink can cause carcinogenic non-carcinogenic effects. main contribute most index Ba, As. study uranium its isotopes extremes, does not allow drawing conclusion about dynamics, but value similar global rivers.

Assessment of Heavy Metals Pollution in Water and Sediments of Djendjen River, North Eastern Algeria

Water and sediment samples have been collected from five different stations, located along Djendjen River between February and June, 2016 so that the concentrations of Cd, Ni, Zn, and Cu could be determined. The extent of the sediment pollution has been assessed, using the multiple pollution indices, namely Contamination Factor (CF), Pollution Load Index (PLI), and the geoaccumulation index (Ig...

The Synergic Characteristics of Surface Water Pollution and Sediment Pollution with Heavy Metals in the Haihe River Basin, Northern China

Aquatic environmental deterioration is becoming a serious problem due to rapid urbanization and economic development, particularly in developing countries. As two important components of the aquatic environment, water quality and sediment pollution are widely considered to be concerns; however, they are considered separately in most cases. The relationship between water quality and sediment pol...
