Search for sub-eV axion-like resonance states via stimulated quasi-parallel laser collisions with the parameterization including fully asymmetric collisional geometry

A bstract We have searched for axion-like resonance states by colliding optical photons in a focused laser field (creation beam) adding another (inducing stimulation of the decays, where frequency-converted signal can be created as result stimulated photon-photon scattering via exchanges resonances. quasi-parallel collision system (QPS) such allows access to sub-eV mass range particles. In past searches QPS, simplicity, we interpreted rate based on an analytically calculable symmetric geometry both incident angles and energies partially implementing asymmetric nature meet actual experimental conditions. this paper, present new search results complete parameterization including fully collisional geometries. particular, combined linearly polarized creation circularly inducing match parameterization. 0.10 mJ/31 fs Ti:sapphire pulse 0.20 mJ/9 ns Nd:YAG were spatiotemporally synchronized sharing common axis into vacuum system. Under condition which atomic background processes completely negligible, no significant was observed at pressure 2 . 6 × 10 ? 5 Pa, thereby providing upper bounds coupling-mass relation assuming scalar pseudoscalar fields 95% confidence level range.
