Progress in K → ππ Decays
Recent work by J. Prades and myself on K ! is described. The rst part describes our method to connect in a systematic fashion the short-distance evolution with long-distance matrix-element calculations taking the scheme dependence of the short-distance evolution into account correctly. In the second part I show the results we obtain for the I = 1=2 rule in the chiral limit.

The physics program of the NA62 experiment aims to search for phenomena beyond the Standard Model by measuring the ratio RK = Γ(K→eνe(γ)) Γ(K→μνμ (γ)) and studying the ultra rare decay K + → π+νν . The status of the RK analysis based on ∼ 40% of the data collected during 2007 and 2008 is summarized and the proposed detector layout to measure the branching ratio of the K+ → π+νν decay is described.
