چکیده

Abstract OBJECTIVE To explore the basic situation of cognitive function in patients with initial state brain metastasis and potential factors affecting function, so as to find critical value cumulative tumor volume leading dysfunction. METHODS A total 284 who were newly diagnosed metastases underwent testing before radiotherapy Guangdong Sanjiu Brain Hospital from 2016 2022 retrospectively analyzed. The demographic information patients, KPS at time diagnosis, number metastases, volume, test data treatment organized. RESULTS impairment occurred 100/284 (the criteria for is that least two eight sub-tests are less than 1.5 standard deviation or one 2 deviations). Multivariate analysis showed tumors was not a factor Age, gender, KPS, educational level, risk function. cut-off MOCA, HVLT-R immediate memory, delayed VFT, TMT-A, TMT-B 13.608, 13.125, 11.070, 14.523, 11.113 cc, respectively, while SDMT TOL 5.435 4.528 respectively. CONCLUSIONS Before treatment, had no significant correlation but volume. involving overall dysfunction, memory speech decreased thinking speed between 11-14.5 threshold executive dysfunction computational 4.5-5.5 cc.

The Value of the History and Physical for Patients with Newly Diagnosed Brain Metastases Considering Radiosurgery

BACKGROUND For patients with brain metastases, systemic disease burden has historically been accepted as a major determinant of overall survival (OS). However, less research has focused on specific history and physical findings made by clinicians and how such findings pertain to patient outcomes at a given time point. The aim of this study is to determine how the initial clinical assessment of ...

Brain putamen volume changes in newly-diagnosed patients with obstructive sleep apnea

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is accompanied by cognitive, motor, autonomic, learning, and affective abnormalities. The putamen serves several of these functions, especially motor and autonomic behaviors, but whether global and specific sub-regions of that structure are damaged is unclear. We assessed global and regional putamen volumes in 43 recently-diagnosed, treatment-naïve OSA (age, 46.4 ±...
