چکیده

Abstract The main theme of this research was to screen for tyrosinase inhibition from extracts seven medicinal plants with the aim applying their skin-whitening compounds cosmetic industry. Specifically, botanical parts include Morus alba L. fruit, Pachyrhizus erosus Glycyrrhiza uralensis F. root, Lonicera japonica T. flower, Chrysanthemum indicum Momordica charantia leaf and Carica papaya which extracted in safe solvents as ethanol water. study results indicated that inhibitory higher ethanol-extracted products. Meanwhile, had high (54.5 ± 2.97%, second only uralensis) widely grown Viet Nam. Hence, fruit pulp chosen suitable extracting conditions. optimal conditions were found, absolute (EtOH) solvent, solid/liquid ratio 1:8 (g/mL), 2 times extraction per patch, each time at 50 °C 30 minutes. expected value yield 22.1%, IC = 768.9 μg/mL, antioxidation (DPPH method) 5 0 1974.5 µg/mL. .

An Environmental Friendly Process for Extraction of Active Constituents from Herbal Plants

Conventional methods for extraction of the active constituents from herbal plants, in addition to their high processing costs, are harmful to the environment owing to their time and energy consumption, uncontrollable parameters, use of toxic and dangerous solvents, loss of the extract, thermal instability, the contamination of the product with organic solvents and the loss of water-soluble comp...

Screening of herbal constituents for aromatase inhibitory activity.

Random Forest screening of the phytochemical constituents of 240 herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine identified a number of compounds as potential inhibitors of the human aromatase enzyme (CYP19). Molecular modelling/docking studies indicated that three of these compounds (myricetin, liquiritigenin and gossypetin) would be likely to form stable complexes with the enzyme. The results of t...

HIT: linking herbal active ingredients to targets

The information of protein targets and small molecule has been highly valued by biomedical and pharmaceutical research. Several protein target databases are available online for FDA-approved drugs as well as the promising precursors that have largely facilitated the mechanistic study and subsequent research for drug discovery. However, those related resources regarding to herbal active ingredie...

Screening of Indian medicinal plants for acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity.

The cholinergic hypothesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) has provided the rationale for the current pharmaco-therapy of this disease, in an attempt to reduce the cognitive decline caused by cholinergic deficits. Nevertheless, the search for potent and long-acting acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitors that exert minimal side effects in AD patients is still ongoing. AChE inhibitors are currently t...

Screening of plants from new caledonia and vanuatu for inhibitory activity of xanthine oxidase and elastase.

A series of 38 plants (55 plant extracts) from New Caledonia and 22 plants (40 plant extracts) from Vanuatu (Efate and Erromango islands) were screened for xan-thine oxidase (XOD) and elastase inhibitory activity. Of the crude extracts 82% were found to possess xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity, and 23% were active against elastase, at a concentration of 50 µg/ml. The methanol extracts of Cu...
