چکیده
The aim of the present study was to evaluate potential genotoxic/antigenotoxic, mutagenic/antimutagenic, and carcinogenic/anticarcinogenic effect Amorpha fruticosa (AF) fruit, Ailanthus altissima bark hexane (AAEH) methanol (AAEM) extracts on a model system Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Plants were identified extracted by Ekaterina Kozuharova. Three concentrations each extract tested – 10, 100 1000 µg/ml. In vitro pro-oxidant/antioxidant activities evaluated DPPH DNA topology assay. mutagenic/antimutagenic effects revealed in vivo by: Zimmermman’s test cerevisiae diploid strain D7ts1, Ty1 retrotransposition S. haploid 551. Zeocin used as positive control. Based antioxidant activity could be arranged follows: AF>AAEM>AAEH. AAEH possessed moderate oxidative potential. No genotoxic mutagenic capacity obtained for tested. levels total aberrants, convertants revertants comparable with control ones. induced treatment. Further, well-expressed antigenotoxic, antimutagenic anticarcinogenic activity. Significant reduction reverse point mutations obtained. Only AF found reduce zeocin-induced mitotic gene conversion. three did not possess any genotoxic, carcinogenic their protective activity, they can AF>AAEM>AAEH which corresponds well phytochemical composition. Further experiments provide more detailed information concerning mode action extracts, main constituents.

Drought resistance of Ailanthus altissima: root hydraulics and water relations.
Drought resistance of Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle is a major factor underlying the impressively wide expansion of this species in Europe and North America. We studied the specific mechanism used by A. altissima to withstand drought by subjecting potted seedlings to four irrigation regimes. At the end of the 13-week treatment period, soil water potential was -0.05 MPa for well-watered co...

Ailanthus altissima (tree of heaven), Simaroubaceae, is an early successional tree, native to China and North Vietnam, which has become invasive in Europe and on all other continents except Antarctica. It is most abundant in urban habitats and along transportation corridors, but can also invade natural habitats. This paper reviews the literature on the morphology, distribution, ecology, habitat...

However, this is near the upper limit of settings typically recommended for hot water cylinders, and heat losses incurred during laundering mean the maximum reached in many domestic washing machines may well be considerably lower than this. It has been suggested that commercial laundering might be better able to provide such conditions. Using dataloggers embedded in duvets, temperature p...
