چکیده
Aim: The assessment of the nutritional status hospitalized patients is important to detect individuals who are under malnourishment risk and malnutrition-related conditions. present study aimed screen with Nutritional Risk Screening 2002 (NRS-2002) Subjective Global Assessment (SGA) screening compare results two methods in predicting malnutrition. Materials Methods: NRS-2002 SGA were administered 134 non-critical service within first days hospital admission. Tool performance malnutrition association length stay (LOS) analyzed. Results: 22.4% (n=30) at when screened NRS-2002; SGA, 35.8% (n=48) found be malnourished (p=0.015). LOS (day) non-malnourished according similar. However, screening, was longer than (17.90±16.93 vs 10.79±11.23) (p=0.004). In both tools most overweight or obese (the total rate 70% 75% SGA; respectively). Factors associated only age (p<0.05). Conclusion: Considering current criteria for risk, NRS-2002, as an objective remarkably powerful tool, seems provide a better yield assessment. Besides this, adding subjective parameters by applying could increase capability detecting nutrition comprehensive
