چکیده
Objectives: Infectious diseases caused by bacteria are a leading cause of death worldwide. Hence, the objectives study aimed to evaluate antibacterial activity against five human pathogenic methanolic extracts from 66 plants collected Vietnam.
Methods: The broth microdilution method was used determine minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) methanol plant species bacterial strains.
Results: In this study, all were active at least one train with MIC values ranging 24 2048 μg/mL. Twenty-five three Gram-positive (Bacillus cereus, Bacillus subtilis, and Staphylococcus aureus). Of these, Macaranga trichocarpa (Rchb. f. Zoll.) Mull. Arg. (Euphorbiaceae), Calophyllum inophyllum L. (Clusiaceae) Caryodaphnopsis baviensis (Lecomte) Airy Shaw (Lauraceae) exhibited highest (MIC =24–128 μg/mL), followed Betula alnoides Buch.- Ham. e × . D. Don (Betulaceae), Acronychia pedunculata (L.) Miq. (Rutaceae), Croton alpinus A. Chev. ex Gagnep. (Euphorbiaceae) =64–256 μg/mL). Furthermore, extract Rhus chinensis Mill. (Anacardiaceae) Annona reticulata (Annonaceae) potent two =32–64 μg/mL).
Conclusion: Results reveal that Vietnam have highly bacteria. These results suggest Vietnamese may be rich source drugs.

Evaluation of Antibacterial Activity of Plant Extracts of Euphorbia thymifolia against Human Pathogenic Bacteria
he present study was aimed at assessing the antimicrobial potential of various extracts of Euphorbia thymifolia against human pathogenic strains of Salmonella typhimurium and Shigella boydii. The antibacterial activity was determined by agar disc diffusion and broth microdilution techniques. The results showed that the growth of the organisms were inhibited by both acetone and hexane extracts o...
متن کاملAntibacterial Activity of Marine Sponge Extracts against Fish Pathogenic Bacteria
Secondary metabolites of the marine sponges Acanthella elongata, Axinella donnani, Callyspongia diffusa, Callyspongia subarmigera, and Echinodictyum gorgonoides were collected from fishing nets and their in vitro antibacterial properties against eight virulent marine fish pathogens were studied at incubation temperatures of 20°C and 30°C. Crude methanol extracts of the tested sponges showed spe...
متن کاملAntibacterial activity of caffeine against plant pathogenic bacteria.
The objective of the present study was to evaluate the antibacterial properties of a plant secondary metabolite - caffeine. Caffeine is present in over 100 plant species. Antibacterial activity of caffeine was examined against the following plant-pathogenic bacteria: Ralstonia solanacearum (Rsol), Clavibacter michiganesis subsp. sepedonicus (Cms), Dickeya solani (Dsol), Pectobacterium atrosepti...

The aim of this work was to evaluate the antibacterial activity of Brazilian plants extracts against fish pathogenic bacteria. Forty six methanolic extracts were screened to identify their antibacterial properties against Streptococcus agalactiae, Flavobacterium columnare and Aeromonas hydrophila. Thirty one extracts showed antibacterial activity.
