<scp>dynamicSDM</scp> : An R package for species geographical distribution and abundance modelling at high spatiotemporal resolution

Species distribution models (SDM) are widely applied to understand changing species geographical and abundance patterns. However, existing SDM tools inherently static inadequate for modelling distributions that driven by dynamic environmental conditions. dynamicSDM provides novel explicitly consider the temporal dimension at key stages, including functions for: (a) Cleaning filtering occurrence records spatial qualities; (b) Generating pseudo-absence through space time; (c) Extracting spatiotemporally buffered explanatory variables; (d) Fitting SDMs whilst accounting biases autocorrelation (e) Projecting intra- inter- annual abundances high spatiotemporal resolution. Package have been designed be: flexible targeting specific study species; compatible with other tools; and, utilising Google Earth Engine Drive, low computing power storage needs. We illustrate an example of a nomadic bird in southern Africa, red-billed quelea Quelea quelea. As easily applied, we suggest these could be readily taxa systems globally.
