SCHOLL HEADS QUALITIES STRATEGIC PLANNING SKILLS AND SCHOOL-BASED MANAGEMENT

This study investigated the qualities of schools head, their strategic planning skills, and school-based management levels public elementary in District 3, City Division San Pedro. It was guided by Skills Acquisition Theory Dekeyser Criado (2013) Soft Assessment Gibb (2014). The researcher used a self-made but expert-validated survey-questionnaires administered to total 153 randomly selected teachers. Results showed that school heads terms empowering teachers, having vision plans, being passionate about work, taking risk, leading example were highly observable. Concerning found have observable abilities set priorities, goals, craft action implement policies, make decisions. also leadership governance resources accountability continuous improvement curriculum instruction implementation. School skills partially correlated with SBM schools. concluded level (SBM) skills. recommended districts departments should development programs strengthen leaders. upper teachers may work leaders develop best practices for operating her LAC program finding curricula other can adopt evaluate. Develop plans improve performance management.
