چکیده

Understanding of the biomechanics accommodative apparatus in eyes with different refraction is important for solving problems theoretical and practical ophthalmology. Purpose: To determine changes anterior eye segment dimensions during accommodation response normal patients myopia, hypermetropia. Methods Material: 116 (56 aged from 18 to 30 years, -2.0 + 2.0 D) were examined. All underwent a full ophthalmological examination. The ocular was imaged using rotational Scheimpflug camera Pentacam HR (Oculus, Wetzlar, Germany) under non- 3.0 D demands. statistical data represented as mean value ± standard deviation (M SD). Shapiro-Wilk test used assess normality distribution. Wilcoxon comparison. Results: Results showed an increase optical density crystalline lens, pupil diameter decrease changing iris profile all patients. An total corneal aberrations spherical aberration revealed only emmetropic eyes. Conclusions: multicomponent process. visualization differences ametropic

Eye shape in emmetropia and myopia.

PURPOSES To determine axial, vertical, and horizontal eye dimensions in myopic and emmetropic eyes by using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and to relate these to different ocular expansion models of myopia development. METHODS The internal length (cornea to retina), height and width (both retina to retina) were measured in emmetropic and myopic eyes (up to -12 D) of 88 participants aged 18 ...

Changes in anterior chamber eye during accommodation as assessed using a Dual Scheimpflug system.

PURPOSE To study the changes in anterior chamber depth (ACD), anterior chamber angle (ACA), and pupil diameter (PD) during accommodation. METHODS Eighty eyes of 80 subjects, aged 22 to 40 years, were included. The rotating Dual Scheimpflug and a Placido disc system (Galilei G4, Ziemer Ophthalmic Systems AG, Switzerland) was used to measure the changes in ACD, ACA, and PD during accommodation....

Evaluation of anterior segment parameters using Scheimpflug technology during the Valsalva maneuver in patients with keratoconus.

Purpose: This study aimed to explore the effects of the Valsalva maneuver (VM) on ectatic corneas during anterior segment tomography scans using a Scheimpflug camera. Methods: This prospective observational study included 100 eyes of 50 patients with bilateral keratoconus (KC). Anterior segment tomography was first performed when the patients were in a resting position and immediately repeate...

Biometric investigation of changes in the anterior eye segment during accommodation

Non-invasive biometry of the anterior structures of the human eye can be performed with unprecedented precision of 8-10 microns and a resolution of approximately 9 microns by partial coherence interferometry, which has the potential to assess the effect of cycloplegia on the ocular components of the anterior eye segment, to further improve the precision to 1-2 microns by the use of these agents...

Sympathetic inhibition of accommodation after sustained nearwork in subjects with myopia and emmetropia.

PURPOSE The purposes of the present study were to assess the effect of a sympathetic inhibitory pharmacologic agent, timolol maleate, on the magnitude of nearwork-induced transient myopia (NITM) and its decay in different refractive groups for an extended near task duration and to determine the proportion of the young adult population manifesting effective sympathetic access under naturalistic ...
