چکیده
Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is the most common hereditary disorder of kidneys. In adults, PKD1 gene mutation almost always signifies its subtype, autosomal dominant polycystic (ADPKD), or adult disease. ADPKD a multisystemic giving rise to renal and extra-renal manifestations. The shutdown feared complication while development intracranial aneurysms considered lethal feature. This can be attributed increased risk rupture associated with leading condition called subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). While being notorious for subtle situations SAH often leads to, association onset seizures matter high clinical significance. We present patient (ADPKD) that has led epilepsy. Five years after diagnosis ADPKD, he developed an aneurysm in right internal carotid artery, which was treated conservatively. After four months, presented symptoms SAH, confirmed by computed tomography angiography. Clipping unable performed, conservatively, this time as well. Recently, generalized tonic-clonic seizures, controlled single anti-epileptics. He stabilized dual intravenous antiepileptics but on further workup, found have recurrence berry referred neurosurgeon clipping procedure performed. operation successful, still epileptic discharged long-term course double

متن کاملPolycystic kidney disease in a patient with achondroplasia: case report.
Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease is a multisystem disease involving many organs. An association with other diseases such as tuberous sclerosis, von Hippel-Lindau disease and Marfan syndrome have been previously described. We describe a 35 year old female with achondroplasia who developed polycystic kidney disease involving both kidneys and progressing to end-stage renal disease. To ...

Gross or microscopic hematuria is a common symptom of hematuria and occurs in less than 5% to 10% of patients with IGM with rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis. The aim of this study was to investigate the diagnostic biomarkers of this disease after biopsy. Methods: IgA...

Although the rheumatic manifestations of celiac disease are not uncommon, they are often overlooked. A 30-year-old female patient referred to the rheumatology clinic of ...

Background Autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (ARPKD) is caused by mutations in the PKHD1gene. In the present study, we describe a severe case of ARPKD carrying a point mutation and a novel four-exon deletion of PKHD1 gene. Materials and Methods The PKHD1, PKD1 and PKD2 ...
