چکیده

Context: With a key role in normal shoulder function, scapular kinematics have been investigated impingement syndrome (SIS). Objectives: This systematic review aimed at determining kinematic patterns patients with SIS compared to asymptomatic individuals. Data Sources: Databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Ovid, Embase and PEDRO were searched from January 1995 June 2021. Study Selection: Articles English published peer-reviewed journals using motion analysis systems compare between subjects during arm elevation included. Extraction: A modified Downs Black checklist was used assess the risk bias included studies. random-effects model employed perform meta-analysis. Results: Nine out 1650 screened abstracts for data extraction. Scapular upward rotation significantly decreased (SMD = -0.13, 95% CI -0.23 -0.02) low effect size (I2 46%). No differences observed posterior tilt -0.07, -0.18 0.03) external 0.02, -0.06 0.09) subjects. Conclusions: revealed that except rotation, movement generally insignificantly different without elevation. Between-group might overlooked result high The high-quality studies addressing confounders are required provide definitive conclusion on relationship kinematics.

Scapular and rotator cuff muscle activity during arm elevation: A review of normal function and alterations with shoulder impingement.

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this manuscript is to review current knowledge of how muscle activation and force production contribute to shoulder kinematics in healthy subjects and persons with shoulder impingement. RESULTS: The middle and lower serratus anterior muscles produce scapular upward rotation, posterior tilting, and external rotation. Upper trapezius produces clavicular elevation and ret...

Scapular kinematics and subacromial-impingement syndrome: a meta-analysis.

CONTEXT The literature does not present a consistent pattern of altered scapular kinematics in patients with shoulder-impingement syndrome (SIS). OBJECTIVES To perform meta-analyses of published comparative studies to determine the consistent differences in scapular kinematics between subjects with SIS and controls. In addition, the purpose was to analyze factors of the data-collection method...

Treatments for Shoulder Impingement Syndrome: A PRISMA Systematic Review and Network Meta-Analysis: Erratum

Many treatments for shoulder impingement syndrome (SIS) are available in clinical practice; some of which have already been compared with other treatments by various investigators. However, a comprehensive treatment comparison is lacking. Several widely used electronic databases were searched for eligible studies. The outcome measurements were the pain score and the Constant-Murley score (CMS)....

Effect of eight weeks of scapular-focused exercise with and without feedback on pain, function, and scapular kinematic in a participant with shoulder impingement syndrome

Background and Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of scapular-focused treatment with (SFTF) and without (SFT) feedback on pain, function, and scapular kinematics in patients with Shoulder Impingement Syndrome (SIS). Materials and Methods: 36 males and females with SIS (age of 37 ± 6.3 years) were randomly assigned into SFTF (n=12), SFT (n=12) and control (n=12) groups. The primary o...
