چکیده

The optimal viewing position (OVP) effect indicates that words are identified most quickly when the eyes fixate near word centre in alphabetic languages. In two studies, we tested OVP typically developing readers and children with developmental dyslexia (DD), coordination disorder (DCD) both disorders (DD + DCD), using a variable-viewing-position technique. Study 1 showed had developed highly automatized procedures of left-to-right attentional scanning resulting an inverted J-shape VP curve comparable to what is observed adult dyslexics non-prototypical one. 2, more typical DCD, isolated or comorbid, compared DD. Moreover, given absence significant group differences between DD DCD our results reinforce idea comorbid condition does not add severity anomalies. We then concluded atypicalities specific Finally, discussed usefulness as clinical tool identify possible could be some neurodevelopmental (i.e., DD, DD).
