چکیده
Fruit tree culture is at the brink of disaster in arid to semi-arid regions due low water availability. A pot experiment was carried out analyze whether foliar application salicylic acid (SA) can improve stress tolerance Syzygiumcumini. Saplings were subjected control (CK, 90% field capacity, FC), medium (MS, 60% FC) and high (HS, 30% along with 0.5 1.0 mM SA. Results showed that soil deficit significantly decreased leaf, stem total dry weight, leaf gas exchange attributes chlorophyll a, b. However, root weight root/shoot ratio increased under MS HS, respectively. Contrarily, SA improved b, attributes, production deficit. Concentration oxidants like hydrogen peroxide superoxide radicals, malondialdehyde electrolyte leakage deficit; however, plants sprayed increase concentration antioxidant enzymes dismutase, peroxidase, catalase ascorbate peroxidase. suggest help Syzygiumcumini saplings; validation results conditions necessary.

Morpho-physiological and biochemical properties of Carum copticum (L.): effects of salicylic acid
Salicylic acid (SA) is a phenolic compound and its foliar application shows regulatory effects on plants. In this research, Ajowan (Carum copticum) plants were treated with 0, 0.5, and 1 mM SA and proline, total phenol, chlorophylls, carotenoids, soluble sugar, N, P, and K contents were studied. Results showed that application of SA affected both quantitative and qualitative traits of ...

It is used in well known traditional medicines to control the blood sugar...
متن کاملPhysiological and biochemical responses involved in water deficit tolerance of nitrogen-fixing Vicia faba
Climate change is increasingly impacting the water deficit over the world. Because of drought and the high pressure of the rising human population, water is becoming a scarce and expensive commodity, especially in developing countries. The identification of crops presenting a higher acclimation to drought stress is thus an important objective in agriculture. The present investigation aimed to a...
