Sail technology on fishing vessel for blue swimming crab catching application - A review

Abstract The increase in fuel prices will gradually have an impact on the capture fisheries sub-sector, especially fishermen. Sail technology is alternative that can be used to save oil, although it realized this cannot completely replace diesel motor commonly fishing operations. This study explain application opportunities of sail vessels for blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus) deep waters Java Sea. ground more than 12 nautical miles from coast.
