چکیده

Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background Pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) is at the forefront rhythm control strategies in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). A very-high-power, short-duration (vHPSD) catheter was designed to improve effectiveness AF ablation within a shorter procedure time. We aimed compare and safety PVI between this vHPSD mode (90W/4s) conventional index-guided (up 40W/indexed). Methods This single-center, retrospective, observational study enrolled 148 AF, referred for December 16, 2019 July 29, 2022. In 77 procedures (mean age: 59.7±12.0 years; 61.0% male; 74.0% paroxysmal), used (vHPSD-group), 71 58.1±11.6 70.4% 67.6% paroxysmal) were treated index (AI-group). The assessed recurrence 3- 6-months after ablation. outcomes also included amount opioids administered during incidence treatment-emergent adverse events. Additionally, procedural factors, such as total time, fluoroscopy time radiofrequency application compared groups. Results At 3 months, found recur 14.29% (11/77) vHPSD-group 30.99% (22/71) AI-group (p=0.02). 6 18.31% (13/71) reported 32.73 % (18/55) (p=0.09). There no difference events two groups (3.9% vs. 2.8%; p=1.00). One severe event (a cerebral vascular accident) observed vHPSD-group. mean dose remifentanil be lower vHPSD-based (p<0.0001). associated (p<0.0001), Conclusions suggests that vHPSD-quided equally effective safe reference short-term clinical observation Also, may allow reduce dosage analgesics significantly procedures.

Safety and Efficacy of Atrial Fibrillation Ablation in Young Patients.

Background: Outcome of catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF) in young patients has not been widely reported. This study describes the safety and efficacy of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFA) for atrial fibrillation in patients forty years or younger. Methods and Results: Forty consecutive patients who underwent fifty-two RFA procedures for symptomatic, drug-refractory paroxysmal or...

radiofrequency atrial fibrillation ablation technique in patients with mitral valve surgery and left atrial reduction procedures

background: about half of all patients who undergo mitral valve surgery suffer from atrial fibrillation (af). cox described the surgical cut-and-sew maze procedure, which is an effective surgical method but has some complications. this study was designed to evaluate the efficacy of a substitution method of radiofrequency ablation (rfa) for patients undergoing mitral valve surgery with af. metho...

Radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation: effectiveness and safety in 102 consecutive patients.

S egmental pulmonary vein isolation (SPVI) and circumferential pulmonary vein isolation (CPVI) are the two main approaches of radiofrequency ablation in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). 2 The reported efficacy is between 60–90% depending on the approach and AF classification. The goal of this retrospective study was to review our experience with both approaches, as well as patient outcom...

Effectiveness of catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation.

Catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF) has become increasingly popular in multiple centres worldwide as more studies have reported favourable success rates in preventing AF recurrences using various ablation techniques. Different strategies for ablating AF range from physiological approaches aimed at electrical segmental pulmonary vein (PV) isolation to anatomical circumferential PV abla...

Cost-Effectiveness of Atrial Fibrillation Ablation.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a frequently encountered rhythm disorder, characterized by high recurrence rate, frequent hospitalizations, reduced quality-of-life and increased the risk of mortality, heart failure and stroke. Along with these clinical complications this type of arrhythmia is the major driver of health-related expenditures. Radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFA) of atrial fibrillat...
