The functioning of the constitutional courts is a European standard, widely accepted also in post-Soviet countries. following paper looks at basic legal provisions Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia from comparative perspective. While Armenia undertake some democratic reforms, Azerbaijan remains consolidated autocracy, what justifies such comparisons. It argues that despite being line with practice, there no one model South Caucasus judiciary. most important differences affect nomination judges, scope competencies, subjects eligible to submit complaints. study did not confirm hypothesis judiciary as an authoritarian state, differs significantly more models Georgia.
