REACTION AT 198 MeV
The reaction 45Sc(n, P)45Ca has been studied at an energy of 198 MeV with energy resolution of about 1 MeV. Measurements were carried out at nominal angles 0°, 3°, 6®, 9®, 12°, 15°, 18" and spectra obtained up to -40 MeV excitation energy in 45Ca . Significant Gamow-Teller strength is observed at an excitation energy of about 7 MeV, somewhat higher than predicted by shell-model calculations . T...

We describe an unusual case of acute promyelocytic leukemia with +der(17)t(15;17) as the additional cytogenetic abnormality and with t(15;17) defined by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) using a PML/RARA dual color, dual fusion translocation probe. By performing a step-by-step, complementary approach to evaluate unusual chromosomal abnormalities, we detected RARA/PML fusion on a marker ...

The earth’s environments and ecosystems are not fi xed but vary over a wide range of space and time scales (Delcourt, and Webb 1982; see also fi g. 6.1). At the scale of tens of thousands of years, the wobble of the Earth on its axis causes variation in the solar radiation received at the earth’s surface, driving variation in climate. On shorter time scales, the Southern Oscillation of sea surf...
