Ruptured Ectopic Pregnancy at Tertiary Care Centre: A Cross-sectional Study

Objectives: Ectopic pregnancy (EP) is the leading cause of early accounting for 10-15% pregnancy-related deaths. It life-threatening condition where majority them present late. This study aims to evaluate incidence, risk factors, clinical features, diagnosis, and management EP in tertiary care center. Materials Methods: conducted a retrospective analysis electronic medical records from June 2015 2020, focusing on participants age group 18 45 years, examine occurrence EP. The data were analysed with simple descriptive statistics presented frequency tables charts group, parity, anemia grades, factors presenting symptoms. Results: incidence current was 0.38%. In study, 73.8% women 20–30-year-old. this 54.1% had history pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). Prior seen 19.7 % cases. 16.4% prior tubectomy 19.7% previous infertility treatment, 21.3% lower segment caesarean section (LSCS). 65.5% amenorrhea 4-8 week, 95% abdominal pain. common site right fallopian tube 73.9% all cases need surgical most procedure carried out salpingectomy. intensive unit (ICU) admission needed 26.2% cases, no mortality our study. Conclusions: serious potentially condition. Early diagnosis prompt are crucial reducing maternal morbidity rates.
