چکیده
Background and aims Novel genetic determinants associated with coronary artery disease (CAD) have been discovered by genome wide association studies. Variants encompassing the CELSR2- PSRC1-SORT1 gene cluster CAD. This study is aimed to investigate rs629301 polymorphism extent of CAD evaluated angiography (CAG), evaluate its associations an extensive panel lipid lipoprotein measurements in a large Italian cohort 2429 patients. Methods results The patients were collected four Intensive Care Units located Palermo Verona (Italy). Clinical Records filed, blood samples collected, lipids apolipoproteins (apo) measured separate laboratories. was defined presence stenotic arteries (>50% lumen diameter) CAG. genotype. Patients 78% 73% (p = 0.007) T/T vs. T/G + G/G genotype carriers respectively. also correlated number arteries, 1.29 (1.04–1.61) risk three-arteries disease. higher levels LDL-, non-HDL cholesterol, apoB, apoE apoCIII, lower HDL-cholesterol. Logistic Regression confirmed that rs629301was independently from common factors, similar conferred ten years age [odds ratios 1.43 (1.04–1.96) 1.39 (1.22–1.58) respectively]. Conclusions allele extension severity positively apoB containing lipoproteins.

OBJECTIVES This study sought to investigate the clinical and imaging characteristics associated with diagnostic inaccuracy of computed tomography angiography (CTA) for detecting obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD) defined by quantitative coronary angiography (QCA). BACKGROUND Although diagnostic performance metrics of CTA have been reported, there are sparse data on predictors of diagno...

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and cigarette smoking are major coronary artery disease risk factors. This study was performed to detect the correlation between major coronary risk factors and the number of diseased vessels in coronary angiography. Methods: This descriptive study was performed on 196 patients with coronary artery disease who underwent coronary ang...

متن کاملImplications of Gender Difference in Coronary Calcification as Assessed by CT Coronary Angiography
BACKGROUND Arterial calcium as measured by 64-slice computed tomography coronary angiography (64-CT) is a reliable predictor of cardiovascular disease risk. Lipid-rich plaques with lower degrees of calcification may pose greater risk for adverse coronary events than more stabilized calcified plaques as a result of the increased risk of plaque rupture, migration, and subsequent acute coronary sy...
