چکیده
Given integers r ⩾ 2 $r\geqslant 2$ and n , t 1 $n,t\geqslant 1$ we call families F ⋯ ⊆ P ( [ ] ) $\mathcal {F}_1,\dots ,\mathcal {F}_r\subseteq \mathcal {P}([n])$ $r$ -cross $t$ -intersecting if for all i ∈ $F_i\in {F}_i$ $i\in [r]$ have | ∩ $\vert \bigcap _{i\in [r]}F_i\vert \geqslant t$ . We obtain a strong generalisation of the classic Hilton–Milner theorem on cross-intersecting families. In particular, determine maximum ∑ j $\sum _{j\in [r]}\vert {F}_j\vert$ in cases when these are k $k$ -uniform or arbitrary subfamilies Only some special results had been proved before. aforementioned theorems as instances more general result that considers measures This also provides possibly mixed uniformities … $k_1,\ldots ,k_r$

Common Zero Points of Two Finite Families of Maximal Monotone Operators via Proximal Point Algorithms
In this work, it is presented iterative schemes for achieving to common points of the solutions set of the system of generalized mixed equilibrium problems, solutions set of the variational inequality for an inverse-strongly monotone operator, common fixed points set of two infinite sequences of relatively nonexpansive mappings and common zero points set of two finite sequences of maximal monot...
متن کاملOn Finding Ordinary Intersection Points∗
An algorithm is demonstrated that finds an ordinary intersection in an arrangement of n lines in R, not all parallel and not all passing through a common point, in time O(n logn). The algorithm is then extended to find an ordinary intersection among an arrangement of hyperplanes in R, no d passing through a line and not all passing through the same point, again, in time O(n logn). Two additiona...
متن کاملChapter 8 : Distinct intersection points
Claim 1.1. Let L be a set of n lines in R. Then there exists a nontrivial polynomial f ∈ R[x1, x2, x3] of degree smaller than 3 √ n that vanishes on all the lines of L. Proof. Let P be a set of at most 4n points, that is obtained by arbitrarily choosing 4 √ n points from every line of L. Since ( 3 √ n+3 3 ) > 4n, by Lemma 2.1 of Chapter 5 there exists a nontrivial polynomial f ∈ R[x1, x2, x3] o...
متن کاملSet Families with Low Pairwise Intersection
A (n, l, γ)-sharing set family of sizem is a family of sets S1, . . . , Sm ⊆ [n] s.t. each set has size l and each pair of sets shares at most γ elements. We let m (n, l, γ) denote the maximum size of any such set family and we consider the following question: How large can m (n, l, γ) be? (n, l, γ)-sharing set families have a rich set of applications including the construction of pseudorandom ...
متن کاملThe Intersection Structure of t-Intersecting Families
A family of sets is t-intersecting if any two sets from the family contain at least t common elements. Given a t-intersecting family of r-sets from an n-set, how many distinct sets of size k can occur as pairwise intersections of its members? We prove an asymptotic upper bound on this number that can always be achieved. This result can be seen as a generalization of the Erdős-Ko-Rado theorem.
